Tasracing must provide an update on the two greyhounds seriously injured in Race 10 at Elwick on Thursday night – Elko and Pop’s Girl.
Both dogs fractured bones in the race, and were stood down from racing for three months. But will we see them again?

Following the fall of Rojo Coco last week, industry voices were at pains to say she was fine. They even published a proof of life video via their political mouthpiece, Labor MP, Dean Winter.
That was not the same for poor Memphis Rains, who after fracturing her right hock (ankle) here in January, disappeared – only to be killed in Victoria.
This industry survives on the taxpayers’ tear to the tune of about $8 million a year. The people footing the bill, Tasmanians, deserve to know – what happened to Pop’s Girl and Elko?
Are they receiving the vet treatment they deserve and need? Will they be allowed to recover? Will they be forced to race again?
