About Tabatha

Tabatha Badger is the Greens Member for Lyons.

Tabatha was elected in March 2024 and is currently the youngest member in the Tasmanian Parliament. Tabatha has a Masters in Tourism, and before entering politics she operated a conservation and ecosystem management business.

Tabatha is the former Chair of the Wilderness Society and Director of the Restore Pedder campaign. An avid bushwalker, Tabatha knows how unique the wildest parts of Lutruwita / Tasmania are and continues to fight for their perpetual protection.

As a Central Highlands local, Tabatha understands the need for equitable access to essential services in rural Tasmania, sustainable future industries, and the urgent need to upscale ecosystem restoration to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Representing the state’s largest and rural electorate, Tabatha brings the voices of regional communities to Parliament.

Tabatha is fighting for urgent climate action, social equality, First Nations justice, and creating meaningful and positive change.
