Ms O’CONNOR question to the MINISTER for INFRASTRUCTURE, Mr VINCENT
Thank you very much, minister, for your detailed answer. Good on you, and I am not surprised, that you went up there one day after you were sworn in as minister. Minister, there is a call from the community for the driveway crossing permit granted by State Growth to be withdrawn. Is that something that is possible, or is your answer indicating to us, and to the local community, that this is basically locked in stone and all the community can hope for is some extra road widening?
ANSWER
Mr President, I will seek some clarification on that. There are a couple of different parts to that. One is, there is work being done by the department at the moment to see what is logically possible with the constraints of the road that is there and everything. I would have to check and take on notice the bit about the crossover.
Ms O’Connor – The revocation of the permit?
Mr VINCENT – Yes. That is something I am not familiar with, being a planning matter. Certainly, constraints of the road – and we have had discussions regarding the design and the possible line of sight and things like that. I am not sure of the time line on getting that, but I do not think it will be too many weeks before we will have something back that I will be able to pass on. That will allow us then to be able to have a different level of communication, because we will have some facts in front of us.
