Ms O’CONNOR question to MINISTER for PARKS and HERITAGE, Mr DUIGAN
In your answer, you said no decision had been made about the timing of the event. The Tasmanian Sand Enduro is, as I understand it, advertised to be run on 31 October and 1 November this year, which is why we have asked the question in the context of bird flu and its impact on coastal birds. They are advertising that the event will take place at the end of October, early November, which means people will be coming here from all over the country, presumably to take part in that event. When you say no decisions have been made about timing, can you clarify what you mean by that?
ANSWER
As I have said in my previous answer, those conversations are ongoing, and at this stage no decision has been made about that.

Mr DUIGAN – I’m advised that that is correct, that the Secretary of NRE has not made a decision on that event.
