The Greens’ motion calling on the government to ensure GBEs and SOCs make public right to information documents has passed the Parliament, supported by all members.
Honourable Speaker, I move that the House - Calls on the Government to require GBEs and SOCs keep a Right to Information Disclosure Log on the same terms as State Service Agencies.
It took an order from Parliament last week before the GBE Tasracing released right to information documents on a clear matter of public importance.
The Greens believe that issues around governance need to be answered and that any merger of TT-Line, TasPorts and TasRail should not be on the table.
