It is fair to say, as other members have touched on, that this bill has resulted in very mixed feedback from stakeholders and from the community.
We recognise that for many people, including special witnesses, the court process can be difficult and the process of providing evidence is difficult.
There are important amendments in it, particularly in relation to the Coroners Act.
It is a shame that this bill has been blurred with the knife crime bill that we looked at last week.
