Dr WOODRUFF - Will Hydro use battery of the nation funding or rewiring the nation funding to install the fourth turbine in the Gordon Power Station to help modulate the minimal environmental flows. What would the cost of that fourth turbine be if that is the case?
Mr BROOKSBANK - The fourth turbine at Gordon remains under active consideration within Hydro. One of the many things we are working out is what is the optimum size of that turbine and how it would fit in to the other plans that we have going forward. At his stage I do not have a cost estimate and we will not have until we get through a process of understanding whether it is something that is in the best interests of Hydro and Tasmania to do or whether we should work on other things.
The matter clean energy finance corporation funding which is the CESC as the vehicle managing the rewiring the nation that the negotiations are not a matter that Hydro's particularly involved in. My understanding is that the Gordon fourth unit would be seen similar to the west coast upgrades. There is something that Hydro Tasmania would fund on its balance sheet with its existing sources of debt through TASCORP rather than specifically under the rewiring of the nation. As I say, that is not something that I, as a CEO of Hydro, am particularly close to.
