Dr WOODRUFF question to MINISTER for RACING, Ms HOWLETT

[10.57 a.m.]

Yesterday you said, on our question, that you would provide the amount of the legal fees that you’ve had paid by taxpayers, ‘at the earliest opportunity’. Will you provide that information to the House today?

ANSWER

Honourable Speaker, I thank the honourable member for her question. I will provide that information as soon as I can access that information.

Dr Woodruff – Why do you have to access it? It’s public money.

Ms HOWLETT – As soon as I can, I will, as I said yesterday.

Dr WOODRUFF – A supplementary question, Speaker?

The SPEAKER – I will hear the supplementary question.

Dr WOODRUFF – How hard is it? Because the minister’s had plenty of time. We’ve been asking these questions for a long time.

Members interjecting.

The SPEAKER – Order.

Dr WOODRUFF – How much legal fees that she’s got to compile?

The SPEAKER – Thank you. I will take that as a statement, Dr Woodruff. I’d already indicated that the member for Clark will get the next question.

Dr Woodruff – It was a question.

Members interjecting.

The SPEAKER – Order. I remind members of the opposition that your leader is going to be doing his state of the state address today. Some of you are already on a number of warnings. If you want to be here for it, I advise that you are silent.
