Ms BURNET (Clark) – Deputy Speaker, as has been said by my fellow Greens, this is a welcome report. It is a long overdue report but there are clear recommendations for a government who would care for the environment. We have heard today from the Premier and minister Ellis about getting the balance right, but I argue that it is not about getting the balance right because the balance has not been right for a very long time. I want to read into the record the information where we see the environment has been deteriorating, because it is important to have this on record.
We see deteriorating sea surface temperatures, kelp, threatened marine fish, beach change, salt marshes, migratory shore birds, pests, soil diversity and conditions –
Time expired.
Matter noted.
