Ms O'CONNOR - Hang on a minute, I have one more question and I am leaving the table. Treasurer, on 4 June in Estimates last year, I asked you who was on the Expenditure Review Committee of Cabinet. I asked you again in question time on 12 June 2019. On 12 June 2020, you finally answered a question that we had put on notice in relation to who is on the Expenditure Review Committee of Cabinet. One year later, exactly, after the question was asked in question time.

We have heard you this morning say that you want to be more transparent and accountable around Right to Information. What skin off your nose is it right now, to show us that you have turned over a new leaf and tell the Committee who is on the Expenditure Review Committee of Cabinet?

Mr GUTWEIN - The reason I am still reluctant -

Ms O'CONNOR - Why?

Mr GUTWEIN - At the end of the day, what you will do, is when there are difficult or challenging decisions that have been made by government, I would prefer that you focus all of your energy on me, as opposed to those colleagues of mine who by virtue of being selected to sit on that Expenditure Review Committee have a role to play.

Ms O'CONNOR - You have never been criticised before under any previous administration for being on the razor gang, never. You are punching at shadows here. It is a default to secrecy.

Mr GUTWEIN - Perhaps I am being overly cautious, but I have made the point on many occasions, if you want to blame anyone concerning the Expenditure Review Committee, blame me.

Ms O'CONNOR - And the secrecy? Okay.
