Minister, in the recent Cabinet reshuffle, your colleague Mr Abetz was given responsibility for the stadium. What I would like to establish with you now is what level of ministerial responsibility you have for answering questions, for example, on the AFL agreement, or on other stadium‑related matters, as they impact on our AFL and AFLW teams?
In this context it may be, for example, questions about the state’s contractual agreement with the AFL, and what some consequences might be. I am just trying to establish here how many questions we might ask you in relation to the stadium, but also in relation to our teams – which we deserve, of course, without a stadium.
ANSWER
Mr President, I have a pretty simple answer to that one. Mr Abetz holds responsibility for the Macquarie Point Development Corporation, which is currently for the stadium development that is happening there. The AFL agreement sits with me.
